After all the preparation and anticipation the NASCAR weekend came and went with not too much trouble. There were a few complainers of course, but everything seemed to go pretty well. There was really not much to take pictures of, but the motorhome across the road from us went all out so I did take a picture of that. There was music on the patio Friday, Saturday, and Sunday–the picture was taken on Friday during karaoke. The crowds were bigger on Saturday when there was a raffle going on as well as live music, but we were working at Gators Grill (the snack bar), so I didn’t get a chance to get any pictures that night. Sunday night, a band volunteered to play for free as a sort of audition, but I heard they were quite bad, so they will probably will not be invited back…
Monday morning, everyone left. Most of them made reservations for the same site, or the possibility of a better site, for race weekend next year. I talked to some people who had been coming to the park in the same site or the same cabin for five, eight, even thirteen years. I guess people enjoy coming here!!
