We decided to take a trip to Trader Joes in Lynwood. Wenatchee does not have a Trader Joes, so this is a first for us. We looked around and bought a few small things–mustard, horseradish, bean dip, bread, tarter sauce–a few “necesseties” that we did not have. They also sell bagged fresh pizza dough in the refrigerator case. Of course we had to try that. it would have made a fairly nice pizza if we had remembered to grease the pizza pan!!

Since we were so close, we also decided to stop at the Costco Business Center in Lynwood. Although it is a small-sized Costco, and they cater more towards business owners’ needs, we still managed to spend $94 on food and supplies(yes, Mom, I got your canned chicken)–nearly 1/4 of our monthly food budget. Of course it was all stuff that we HAD to have–huge cookies, ham steaks, 5 pounds of breaded chicken for our deep fryer… I guess we will have to economize for the rest of the month!!
