First Full Day in Woodburn, Oregon

Posted by Cynthia

We slept in a little this morning, then I took the cat out for a walk. There is a picnic/play area here at the park, so I carried the cat over to it so he could get some exercise. We walked around for awhile, but it was muddy from all of the rain, and the cat wanted to go places he wasn’t allowed, so we went back. I had to carry him back as well. He does not like to walk where a person or a car might sneak up on him and get him:)

We then decided to do some shopping. We needed a better sewer hose and a few other things from Camping World, so we went there first. They had the sewer hose kit Kevin wanted on sale, but they were sold out. We will have to go back, but the one we have will work for the time being. We did buy a few small things. Wal-Mart was the next stop. The Wal-Mart here is the biggest one I’ve ever seen, but we didn’t want to spend too much time or money, so we just bought some bakery items and produce and left. Our last stop was the Grocery Outlet. It is in a fairly new strip mall, and is clean and nice inside. Hopefully it will stay that way…

When we got back, I took the cat out again, but stayed closer to the coach this time. He mostly just smelled around the site and didn’t really walk that much. Then Kevin and I took a quick walk around the park to check it out. There is a pool, but not open yet, a nice laundry area and meeting room, and a small shop. We are right next door to Woodburn Company Stores, and there is a gate from the park directly to the mall. Pretty neat.

The rest of the day we didn’t do much, although we desperately need to get rid of some extra stuff while we are staying near my parents.
