We worked until 7:15 today, but one of the other workampers told us that the Micosukee Indian Casino gives everyone who visits on their birthday a certificate for $25 to eat in one of their restaurants. So we had to go check that out. We wandered around the casino for a while, but didn’t do any gambling. Then we finally found the cafe. They also have a fine dining restaurant and a buffet, but we just wanted the casual restaurant since it was nearly 8:00 by the time we got there. Kevin got a fillet and I had chicken picatta.
Both meals came with potato, vegetable, salad, and bread. Then we split a square of chocolate cake and ice cream. When we went to pay, Kevin’s meal wasn’t quite $25, so they also took off my drink. With the happy birthday special, we got two really nice meals (plus I have enough for at least one more meal) for $10 plus tip. Not bad. We also heard that when you sign up for their players club, you get a coupon for “two for one” at the buffet . We liked the cafe enough that we will definitely try the buffet sometime as well-especially at 1/2 price!!
*note: I took a few pictures of the casino while we were there, but I only had the little camera, and they all turned out blurry. I found this picture that was much better than any I had taken, so I used it, even though I didn’t actually take the picture
