We about died today in the kitchen. It was hot. The high was only around 92, but with the high humidity, the “feels like” was 104. And it was a constant 100 degrees in the kitchen all afternoon. I am pretty sure that when we agreed to come here, someone forgot to tell us that the air conditioning in the kitchen really doesn’t work. 
The office and the gift shop are very cool, but the cool does not make it down to us.
So while we were melting, we also had our busiest day so far this season. We had a group of summer school kids out for a few hours so we sold a ton of ice cream and slushies and kid food like pretzels and nachos. We have another school group scheduled for tomorrow, but the forecast is for thunder storms and “large hail”, so it could be an interesting day…
