It was very hot and humid today, although it was cloudy most of the morning. The park is entirely full. It is the first time since we have been here that there are people camping on all sides of us. It wasn’t too noisy last night, but people were pulling in all night long. One of the work campers said that he heard a trailer pull in at 3 am. Crazy.
I worked in the office today, but Kevin had to run the laser maze again. He doesn’t mind the actual job, but there is no place to hide from the heat. Inside the trailer is even hotter than outside. The store was fairly busy with people buying the things they forgot to bring, some kids buying candy and ice cream, and of course the golf club sign out.
We got off work at 7, the same time that the activities work campers began their Memorial day service, then there was a dance in front of the ranger station. I walked up there around 9, and it looked like people were mostly just standing around listening to the music. I don’t think anyone was dancing. We work at 8:30 in the morning, so we went to bed pretty early. There were a group of people sitting right by our bedroom talking and laughing, but they observed the 10 pm quiet time, and were quiet soon after the “dance” was over.
