We were scheduled 8:30 - 5:30 today, so Kevin knew he would run the laser maze in the morning. I assumed I was working in the office, but when I got there, they decided there were too many people in the office, so they said one of us should go down to help with the pancake breakfast. I said I would either stay or go. I didn’t care. The other lady that does miscellaneous jobs said she would rather stay in the office, so I went to help with the breakfast. There were some volunteers already there, because if you volunteer to work breakfast, you get yours for free. I was extra there, too, but I tried to keep busy refilling syrup and wiping tables as people left. As soon as the service was over, all of the workers sat down and ate. They do pancakes or biscuits and gravy, plus sausage, juice, and coffee. I had some biscuits and gravy. They use a gravy mix for simplicity, but it was still pretty good. After that, I cleaned up in the snack shack until Kevin was ready to close down the laser maze, then we went to lunch. We tried to find some things to do after lunch in the snack shack, and we did get some things cleaned up and stuff, but there were so many people working we really weren’t needed until 5:30, so we signed out at 3:30 and went home. We will probably have to work on our day(s) off this week to get the snack shack opened by Friday, so we will make up those two hours later in the week. We had hot dogs and chips for dinner: I really like those hot dogs that Costco sells, plus they make a really fast dinner when it is hot and we are tired.
