The renters in our rental home moved out a month earlier than planned, so we had a decision to make, do we keep trying to sell our house “For Sale by Owner” and have an empty rental sitting 2 hours away? (An empty rental that needs ALOT of work) or do we hand off our house to a realtor and move over to Seattle and start working on that house to get it fixed up and sold?
Well we decided we wanted to get to work on the rental house, so we finished shoe-horning the rest of our belongings into the coach, and headed to Seattle. We are now parked along side our rental house. We have been here 3 days, and have been making alot of contacts for numerous bids on many needed repairs.
I spent the afternoon digging in the backyard to find the main line sewer clean out. I found it and will use that to dump the tanks. I need to sanitize the water system, so we haven’t used that yet. With help from my brother, we converted the power coming out of the dryer receptacle to be usable for the RV, so we have a 30 amp hook-up. Now I know some people say never plug into a dryer outlet, which is true, but we basically rewired it to use only one of the hot feeds, so we have 120-volt 30 amp power. Now technically this power still isn’t perfect, it has an open Ground, but my house is old and none of the circuits are grounded except for a GFCI in the kitchen and bathroom.
So we are living in our coach fulltime, even though its parked along side a house.
