We had an employee meeting this morning at 8 am. It only lasted about 30 minutes, but since we were there we wanted to stay and work. We really don’t have anything left to do in the snack bar, so we volunteered to work in the gift shop getting it ready for opening day. We spent about three hours reorganizing and cleaning it up. There is still a lot of stuff on order so there are some empty shelves, but we think we did pretty good with what we had.
After that, we decided to take the rest of the day off. I took some more pictures around the water park. The day was absolutely perfect–bright and sunny and no wind. We were a bit surprised about all of the colors when we first looked around, but now that things are clean and there are tables and chairs and decorations out, they actually seem to work.
Tomorrow we are cooking lunch for the water park employees. It will be good for us to get a little practice, plus we will be able to completely test out all of the equipment before opening day. Besides that, we probably won’t be doing much unless the managers have something they need us to do…
