Well I guess I forgot to post anything for quite a while…
That last week we mostly just relaxed and waited for the weekend. We went to work for a few minutes on Wednesday to pull ice cream out of the freezer and check inventory of other product. We just wanted to be ready for the weekend.
Finally the last weekend came, and of course it was disappointing also. Saturday was cold and not busy at all. Sunday was a tiny bit nicer weather, so just a bit busier than Saturday. Monday–the last day of the season–was the best day of the weekend. Not busy, but at least the weather was nice.
After work on Monday, we cooked up a bunch of the food that was left over and most of the water park employees and a few of the campground employees came and ate. There was still quite a bit of food left, so we took some home, and we gave some of it away. Any unopened food will be returned, but there was some stuff that just needed to get used.
Tuesday was our first clean up day in the kitchen. I spent the morning putting paper products away and cleaning the front counter area. Kevin cleaned all the equipment in the kitchen except the fryers. Then some of the other workers came over and we went swimming. We went around the lazy river a few times, then Steve turned on the water slides and we all went down those a couple of times.
Wednesday we detailed the deep fryers and got the kitchen completely done except for the floors. Thursday morning we hosed out the floors and completely finished the kitchen. It looks at least as clean as when we got here–probably cleaner 
Thursday night we went out to dinner with one of the other couples. We went to the Mexican place near the campground. They are one of the couples we thought might be joining us in Miami, but now they are not sure where they are going.
Friday was packing and cleaning day. We had already done most of the packing, but all the last minute stuff got done today. We are excited to get going in the morning!!
