We had an interesting weekend. Some of our newly hired employees did not come in to work for one reason or another, so we were short handed all weekend. Plus we had ourselves scheduled very long hours to get everyone trained, so we were very tired by the end of our weekend. At least the ones who have been showing up regularly seem to be doing well, so we just need a bunch more workers and we will be ready for summer…
The weekend weather was almost perfect for camping, but the kitchen was very hot – there are coolers, freezers, and an ice maker that all produce plenty of heat, and there is no air conditioning in the entire restaurant, so on hot days it is very uncomfortable, even in the dining area.
I think once everyone is trained and we hire a few more people, we should be okay on the days we work, but I have no idea how we are going to cover our days off, or whether we will be able to work the same shifts, or if we will have to schedule ourselves on opposite shifts.
Today we drove all around the campground and the adjacent villas and Kevin took a bunch of video.
