Our busiest week, 15% more than we sold in any week all last summer. There are some differences this year to last. first, the snack bar opens directly onto the pool patio. There used to be a fence, and they did not want food in the pool area. Now people can sit at the pool and eat pizza and chicken strips all day long!! The other difference is just that people can count on there being food here. Most people did not know when they got here last summer since it was so new, but this year, everyone planned ahead to eat at the snack bar. They should have a busy summer!!
We are off today, so we will finally be able to get some housework done, and relax a little. We need to place our food order today. This weekend is fishing tournament weekend, and we are doing a fish fry at the snack bar. We have to order a bunch of stuff we don’t usually have–like fish. So we have to see what SYSCO has available that will be easy and quick cooking. Plus we have to order things like tarter sauce and lemons. I think if the fish and chips go well, it could be something that they keep around, but we will start with this weekend…
